Hayes Auctioneers Pty Ltd specializes in the disposal of all types of goods, with particular emphasis on antiques, deceased estates and commercial disposals.

We hold fortnightly antique auctions, each of around five hundred lots, incorporating better quality collectables, antique and vintage furniture, and every two months an auction featuring modern new and vintage furniture, homewares, whitegoods, electrical and office equipment, together with all sorts of other disposal goods. Viewing for these sales is on the Friday preceding the sale from 12 noon 6pm, Saturday between 10am and 6pm and Sunday 9am to 11am when the sale starts.

Our Antique Auction, offers around 500 lots of better antique furniture, good quality antique and modern jewellery, silver and plate, porcelain and ceramics, ivory, jade and objets d'art, books, carpets, paintings and prints and so forth.

Our very strong collector's section on the furniture and collectables floor, and the advantage of a separate Antique floor allow us to better target the sale of goods to two distinctly different markets. It also allows us to efficiently handle the vast variety of goods that generally constitutes an Estate. There is a 16.5% Buyer's Premium including GST on all lots purchased.

We accept goods Wednesdays and Thursdays (other days by arrangement where necessary). The Vendor is responsible for the cost of transporting the goods to our rooms; when using our regular carriers we are usually happy to pay them on the Vendor's behalf and deduct the cost from the proceeds of sale, although this on-charging results in the Vendor paying GST a second time. Please ring us to arrange appraisal and pick-up.

We charge 20% Commission plus GST (a total of 22%) and there is a one off Handling Fee on the consignment of $7.50 plus GST (a total of $8.25). Payment for goods sold is made within 14 days of the date of sale of the last items in the Consignment. The Consignment is generally kept as a whole entity and a cheque issued when the last goods are sold; however the Vendor is at liberty to request a cheque for any proceeds sold to date at any time during the course of the consignment (cheques are drawn fortnightly) and for this service there is an Early Cheque Fee of $10 plus GST (total $11.00).
