GBR Helicopters enjoys many helipads in Far North Queensland, close to every major local attraction. With offices and helicopter pads located in Port Douglas, Cairns Airport and the Cairns City Heliport at the Pier Marketplace, we have one of the largest choices of departing and landing zones. On the Great Barrier Reef, we have pontoons located at Agincourt, Arlington, Moore and Norman reefs.

In addition to these pads we can land at any airstrip and have permits to land in numerous locations across Tropical North Queensland, including Green Island. We also specialise in Great Barrier Reef resort transfers and are able to provide helicopter transfers between Cairns and Port Douglas.

If a new landing site is required to meet your needs, we will use all means available to secure permission or obtain the necessary permit, ensuring success of your flight, your job or your event.

GBR Helicopter Group are recognised specialists in film and television filming, providing Cairns helicopter film services to many International clients. Our pilots have the highest hours in Australia filming with Wescam camera mount systems.

Having one of the largest helicopter fleets in North Queensland, in addition to moving a large number of people, enables us to effectively support remote locations, either at sea or inland. Our fully licensed Cairns based maintenance facility, with three full time engineers, allows us to travel into the field where remote engineering support is required.
