Our Rhodes practice is conveniently located inside the Rhodes Shopping Centre and services the Rhodes, Concord West, Liberty Grove, North Ryde, Putney, Homebush Bay, Newington, North Strathfield, Breakfast Point, Concord, Ermington and Ryde communities.

Our North Ryde practice is conveniently located at Waterloo Rd, on the corner of Waterloo Rd and Byfield St. We are a multi-disciplinary spine and sports clinic which offers Physiotherapy, Chiropractic, Podiatry, Massage, Naturopathy & Nutrition.

We are conveniently located within the Rhodes Shopping Centre, just off Homebush Bay Drive in Sydney's inner west. For those commuting with train, the Rhodes train station is located within 200 metres of the Rhodes Shopping Centre. We are situated on Level 7, above the cinemas and food court. Please use lifts next to cinemas.
Physiotherapy is a clinical health science profession that aims to rehabilitate and improve people with movement disorders by using evidence-based, natural methods such as exercise, motivation, manipulation and education.

Typically individuals consult a physiotherapist for management of medical problems or other health related conditions that cause pain, limit ability to move or function optimally.

Physiotherapists use manual techniques to promote, maintain and restore physical wellbeing. Physiotherapy may involve the treatment of various conditions, in a wide scope of settings. Examples include: musculoskeletal and sports injuries, neurological conditions such as stroke or head injury, paediatrics, medical and surgical procedures, chest care in conditions such as pneumonia or chronic bronchitis, stress incontinence and geriatric (elderly) care.

Physiotherapists may work in hospitals, sports injury clinics, GP surgeries, schools and gyms.

Physiotherapists may use a variety of treatment modalities in their work. Manual treatments such as joint mobilisations, manipulations, massage and stretches are commonly used in musculoskeletal and sports injury work. Electrotherapy modalities such as ultrasound, TENS, interferential and laser are also frequently used to provide pain relief and/or promote healing.

Physiotherapists will commonly used heat and ice for therapeutic benefit. Acupuncture is also utilised as a treatment by many physiotherapists. In many areas of their work, physiotherapists will use exercise as a treatment, whether for rehabilitation post injury or following neurological damage such as with strokes or head injuries. Exercises for pelvic floor strengthening may be taught. Breathing exercises are also a big part of the job of a chest care physiotherapist.

Postural re-education is an important role for physiotherapists in many areas of their work.

All physiotherapists in Australia are required to be registered by law.
