My name is Susan Scollon and I am a registered acupuncturist with the Chinese Medicine Registration Board of Australia (CMBA), and a member of the Australian Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine Association (AACMA). I take a holistic approach to understanding disease processes and focus as much on prevention of illness as on the treatment of health conditions. My aim is to work closely with each patient to uncover the root of one’s ailments. I treat people according to their unique illness presentation. Although people may present with the same signs and symptoms, their particular disease pattern will vary, therefore a treatment tailored to the individual is necessary.

For this reason my treatment will be different for people with similar health conditions. As an individual’s condition changes and improves with treatment, the acupuncture treatment may also change until the desired health outcome is achieved. Whilst helping people with a variety of conditions, my special focus is treating people experiencing muscular-skeletal, psycho-emotional and digestive issues. I treat all forms of acute and chronic pain. I am so pleased to see my patient’s relief when their pain begins to disappear in as little as one treatment. I am also experienced in helping people find links between areas of physical pain in their body and how it relates to mental-emotional states or history of stored memories.

I believe we have a given right to feel strong and happy in our mental, emotional and physical selves. Often though, we find ourselves in states of dis-ease because we have lost our connection with how we really feel or what our bodies are trying to tell us. My aim is to provide people with a safe and supportive environment for them to re-connect with their true nature and optimum state of health.

My qualifications include:

Bachelor of Health Science (Acupuncture) at Endeavour College of Natural Health

Certificate in Reiki Training (Levels I, II & III) at the International Institute for Reiki Training.
