O'Connell's is one of Melbourne's dining institutions. Since 1990, O'Connell's has been at the forefront of the pub "foodie trend' by blending the warmth and informality of a good hotel with award winning food and service.

Walking through the doors of O'Connell's brings to mind the traditions we all seek in our neighbourhood hotel-the warm fire in the winter, outdoor dining in the summer, and welcoming service.

Having a party with friends or celebrating work with colleagues and partners, O'Connell's will do all the hard work guaranteeing your time is enjoyable and about you. O'Connell's has three function rooms which cater for varying numbers and layouts. These rooms are perfect for intimate dining, corporate functions and small conferences.

O'Connell's food can be loosely termed as modern Australian. Our chef's philosophy is to keep it simple, working with the best and freshest ingredients, marrying classical flavours to produce dishes in tune with the current season.

The hotel also retains a regular menu of "favourites." Those dishes that we don't dare to ever change, like, the prawn and pork wontons, chicken spring rolls, the O'Connell's burger, crumbed veal schnitzel and the crispy battered fish.

Sharing a drink in O'Connell's traditional bar has a feeling of home. Relaxing amongst the classic fit out, patrons can indulge in a large selection of tap beers, an array of wines, and the skilled staff to make your cocktail of choice.

The wine list is a collection of local and imported wines, museum releases and aromatics with a generous range of wines by the glass - all of which have been carefully selected by our in-house sommelier.

O'Connell's is open seven days a week, 365 days a year for lunch and dinner, with a delicious snack menu offered throughout the day.
