About

Pierre's is Tasmania's Oldest Brasserie Cafe. In 1956 three of the very first espresso machines hit Australian shores and Pierre's purchased one of these. It operated for over half a century as an iconic down town eating establishment under the ownership of the Lecomte's until the building and business was sold to the Birchmore family in 2007. 2008 saw it undergo a world class renovation and it reopened its doors in January 2009.

Pierre's now offer its patrons five star comfort, great coffee, brasserie style lunches and exquisite evening dining all at affordable prices. It now has a wonderful new wine bar with a large range of local and international wines by the glass. Adjoining is a casual relaxing lounge overlooking a lovely tree filled courtyard.

Pierre's also has ' The Bordeaux Room ' - a private dining/meeting room which sits twelve very comfortably. All the latest electronic , audio visual equipment is here. The room is available for private hire.

Pierre's is a great place to hold your next sit down or stand up function and can be designed specifically to suit your requirements. Contact us, we are here to help you.

We look forward to welcoming you
