About

H.J. Haddy & Associates was established by Helen and Colin Haddy in 1972. THe business specialised in Australian opals, pearls and semi-precious gemstones, providing valuations for numerous jewellery pieces and gemstones. Mrs. Haddy went on to study gemmology in Australia, United States of America and Britain, furthering her experience as a founding member of the National Council of Jewellery Valuers of Western Australian.

She broadened her knowledge in diamonds, synthetic gemstones, and gemstone treatments. Later, she became the president of the NCJV and continues to be a senior member of the Gemmological industry. Mrs. Haddy frequently attends conferences and meetings and significantly contributes to jewellery lectures.

The renowned business continued down the family line. Mrs. Haddy's daughter, Kaye, won the Julie Myers prize for the top final practical paper exam in Australia in 2000, under the tuition of Helen Haddy. Kaye and Helen provide professional advice and certificates for all types of valuation purposes.

Sarah Lock, Kaye's daughter also studies in the business, continuing the family professsion. She contributes to the quality of the services provided by this qualified and specialised team of valuers and gemmologists.
