In 2004 John and Maree McSweyn were importing Moroccan home wares and furniture, when an opportunity presented itself to move into importing Indonesian furniture and home wares.

The move proved to be a great one and because the products were so unique the interest and demand was high. Having such a solid business background and vast experience they decided to change the infrastructure of their business and locate themselves a factory in Java, Indonesia to manufacture the products themselves. This ensured a greater control of quality of products and also removed the middleman. They were then able to pass the savings onto their customer, giving them high quality furniture at an affordable price.
