Brown Sugar was established in 1975 in a small store in Brighton, Victoria. Initially the brand was launched as a fashion boutique selling a collection of labels from well known Australian companies, but as the business developed the company started designing, developing and manufacturing its own fashion collection under the Brown Sugar label.

Since taking over the the Brown Sugar brand in October 2013, the current team have eagerly embraced the opportunity to build a brand that embodies style and class. This new direction is also build strongly on local Australian manufacturing and we are very proud of it!

To us, Brown Sugar is a brand for every woman, irrespective of age or lifestyle. We design clothes that are comfortable, chic and affordable, allowing women to carry out their daily routine with confidence and ease. We aim to create timeless, classic pieces by keeping quality and fit at the forefront of our minds.
