About Us:

After fitting 1000's of women into sports bras at our Prahran and City stores, we realised there was a significant gap in sports bra education, research-tested sports bras and lack of fitting expertise. The notion of Brava Sport came to us when I ran my first half marathon. I had just been expertly fitted for my running shoes with a treadmill and camera. On my run I couldn't help but notice how many women were unsupported. It made me cringe because I knew the irreversible damage they were doing to their breasts. A sports bra is a highly advanced piece of technical equipment not unlike running shoes, they both have 3 elements to achieve for the customer, fit, comfort and support. Our knowledge was extensive, however we spent the next 2 years researching and developing Brava Sport to ensure we knew more about sports bra fittings than any lingerie boutique, sports store or department store in the country. Brava Sport opened its doors on Tuesday 17th July, 2012.

Our Philosophy:

Our philosophy is centred around our tagline 'Your Support Team'. We believe wholeheartedly that every woman should provide support to other women and in turn receive support. This enables any woman to feel empowered and to feel able to empower others to live an active and happy life. Brava Sport embraces the concept by supporting you with road-tested products, exemplary service, information and advice to help you to be everything you are aiming to be.

The Brava way:

At Brava you won’t see our fitters using a tape measure and there’s a good chance we will know your size even before you reach the change room. We won't sell you a sports bra unless it is right for you, nor do we ask our staff to reach sales figures. At Brava, its all about fit, comfort and support. Its our holistic approach to bra fitting that we are known for. Brava Sport is the only store of its kind in Australia, and in fact we believe we are a world first. There are some good bra fitters and also some great sports stores, but combine the both and you have Brava Sport - The Sports Bra Specialist.

Brava Expertise:

We have seen so many women in the wrong size sports bras, active women wearing 2-3 bras just to get the support and worst of all women not participating in activity due to not finding the support they need. An inappropriate, ill fitted sports bra can result in bad posture, neck, shoulder, back pain and breast sag which can cause lack of confidence and poorer performance. There are many sports bras in the market place, however they work very differently with various body shapes. Brava is yet to find a sports bra which suits all women, which is why this service is so important. Some of the health issues:

Brava Sport offers a specialist sports bra fitting service with in-store treadmill along with an extensive range of sports bras sourced from around the globe, many not available in mainstream lingerie or sports stores and catering for every woman’s individual needs from beginners to elite athletes.
