Salt & Light

About

Salt & Light Food Care's aim is to provide relief for families who are struggling on low and fixed incomes because of the high cost of living. We do this through providing groceries at prices significantly lower than otherwise available in regular supermarkets. These groceries come from Foodbank, an organisation which works with supermarkets and manufacturers to prevent the waste of short dated and out of date grocery items. These items are then provided by Foodbank to community organisations, such as Salt & Light Food Care, at low cost enabling them to support the needy in their local communities.
