Design Lighting

About

Lighting design is so much more than selecting a light fitting and sticking it on a wall or the ceiling

Being able to see stuff means light from somewhere has reflected from that object and in to your eyes, and what you see will either excite you or not. We don't need to look up at the sun to know it is a sunny day likewise we don't need to see the light source inside to feel the place is nicely lit, just so long as we can see all the surfaces and objects clearly. Actually, seeing the light source is a sign that it is not nicely lit, that glare dominates, not the best result.

When you deal with Design Lighting, you will get unbiased advice, appropriate to your actual needs we find that solution unique to you, that is just right for your needs. We order in what you need, and only what you need, so you can be free to think outside the square. Plan for success. A good result is no accident.

Design Lighting Bio.

What is it about lighting that got me started? Is it as obvious as taking over an existing business and growing in experience, which is what happened on one level, or was it that the opportunity to take over that business built on what I had done before in building a house, in studying and practising oil painting to compliment the pencil sketches I did as a kid? All is true and important in my journey to being a lighting consultant and supplier of a range of quality lighting product.

Back in the day I operated a boutique lighting store in Launceston, and this has morphed over the years to a client focused consultancy from a small office, ordering in whatever product the client needs to fulfil their lighting dreams . We - the client and I - work on achieving the whole concept, the ambience that suits the situation, and that ticks all the boxes.
