The Knitting Lady

My business has been running for about seven years now and my work is still very much in demand. I became The Knitting Lady thanks to the staff at Centrelink in Joondalup. As a single mum I used to report my fortnightly earnings and as I stood in the queue I would knit. Before long I was dubbed The Knitting Lady.

What the Centrelink staff didn't know is that my background is not in knitting as such but in colour therapy. It is my passion for colour and crystals that got me knitting, as knitting is my way of expressing colour. As colour has been used for centuries as a healing modality.

Knitting is my expression of colour and I call my work Knit Art. You wrap yourself in a shawl infused with Reiki and made with love. Unique just like you.

To afford to go to college to study colour I would knit a basket of scarves and sell them along with tumbled crystals to make the money to pay for my college fees.

I have studied a diploma in Colour and Consciousness, I am a level III Reiki practitioner and a level II Aura-Soma practitioner. I am also blessed with the gift of receiving messages.

Working full time from home by the ocean I have a clinic where I see clients for a Reiki package that I call Spiritual Pampering, where all the modalities I have trained in come together in one treatment.

The session takes around 1.5 hours which gives the client an hour of Reiki, crystal and colour therapy and time for sharing of messages.

Crystals, fossils, salt and Selenite lamps can be purchased from my home as well as from our market stall.
