Solar regulations have changed dramatically in the past few years, with the Clean Energy Council constantly reviewing and changing installation methods. It may therefore be worthwhile having your system looked at to ensure it is meeting full safety regulations. If your system is 24 month old or more, you could well find the wiring used may not be the correct type. New Solar DC cable has been introduced in the last few years due to the fact regular cable has had issues with insulation disintegration from DC currents. This could prove to be a serious fire hazard. Solar System frames and panels are now Earthed due to potential electrocution issues from touching frames or metal rooftops.
