Sandhill is located in the picturesque, tranquil setting of South Launceston where residents enjoy the spectacular views over the city and the mountains. Sandhill is one of the largest residential aged care homes in Tasmania, and it is set in an extensive park-like location on a hill overlooking the city.

As a 132 bed residence, we offer 66 low care and 66 high care places with a variety of housing options. There are respite opportunities, and a variety of room configurations to choose from – single rooms to shared rooms with private ensuite, perfect for couples wishing to live together with the benefit of 24 hour care.

Sandhill provides clinical care services that are managed by qualified, registered nurses and well-trained staff. We focus on individualised care, ensuring privacy, dignity, and optimum quality of life for each of our residents. We offer “ageing in place”, and respite, convalescent and unfunded care services are also available.

All are welcome to participate in our community and recreational activities. Our leisure and lifestyle programs can be personalised to individual needs and preferences to best ensure a sense of purpose and fulfilment.
