Plumber Paddington

About

Igor enjoyed gardening. Every weekend he was out pruning and weeding, tending to his small vegetable patch. As such he was constantly using his garden hose. However, recently he noticed that his garden tap had been dripping a lot. There was always a small puddle at the base, even if he hadn’t used the tap for a couple of days.

He knew a local Paddington Plumber to call, so he rang and booked an appointment for the Plumber to attend. As usual, the Plumber arrived on time. After accepting a cup of tea, the Plumber was happy to be shown the leaking tap. Igor explained how long he thought it had been playing up, and that the tap had been getting quite hard to turn lately.

The tap could be serviced, the Plumber explained, or he could replace it with a new quarter turn tap. This tap would mean Igor wouldn’t have to twist the top around a few times before water appeared. It was perfect for people with hand problems, or the elderly. Igor didn’t take offence to being called old, it was the truth after all. He more appreciated the option being presented to him. The Plumber pulled a tap off his truck and showed it to Igor. Igor turned the tap handle and found the lever to be a lot easier to use, and it was new so it wouldn’t start leaking for a long time. Igor agreed with the new tap, liking it a lot more than his old one. While the Plumber got to work, he went inside and made some more tea.

Before long the job was done. The Plumber had Igor test out the tap to make sure it was all working. And it was, perfectly! This tap was so much easier to use, and so much more responsive!
