About

Provide support, guidance, analysis and reporting to clients on new developments within the Domestic, Commercial and Industrial construction industries.

- Preparation of Regulatory Design briefs for Clients. This essentially is an assessment of early design drawings and picking up any design issues, potential alternative solutions etc and providing a regulatory design guide that the Architect and other design consultants could use as a guide for developing the design further.

- Able to assess residential and commercial construction to ensure compliance with the building regulations and codes of practice.

- Able to carry out mandatory inspections to ensure compliance with approved documents on all classes and components of buildings and all varieties and types of construction

- Strong understanding of the Building Act and Building Regulations

- Strong understanding of Residential construction and ability to evaluate materials for construction of buildings

- Good understanding of Commercial construction

- Strong understanding of the Building Code of Australia Volumes 1 and 2

- Good understanding of Australian Standards referenced in the BCA

- Good understanding of energy efficient design

- Strong Customer Service - Interaction with new and established customers. Attend design and site meetings

- Ability to understand and implement the Planning Schemes and local laws of the Council

- Ability to prepare Modification applications for submission to the Building Appeals Board

- Ability to prepare Dispensation applications to Council pertaining to variations to Part 4 of the Building Regulations.

- Assessing energy efficiency reports and sustainable construction.

- Conduct Bushfire assessments and implement the requirements of the code

- Provide advice and assistance pertaining to Protection Work.

- Maintaining an excellent relationship with clientele.
