LOW COST RELOCATION DRIVERS FOR THE RENTAL CAR INDUSTRY

Transfercar provides an online service that facilitates contact between rental car companies and drivers that would like to relocate their cars. The rental operators can list their relocation cars on the Transfercar website. The drivers can then view and request to drive a car through a number of different ways such as the website, email or social media channels.

Transfercar charges a fixed fee per successful relocation provided, regardless of vehicle type and distance. The fee is volume based, starting at $55 NZD per relocation in New Zealand, and $72 AUD in Australia.

Benefits for your business:

- Transfercar can arrange relocations with substantial cost saving compared to any existing alternative, including bulk truck or train transportation

- Transfercar can locate and facilitate the right relocation driver much faster than the individual rental car company

- Transfercar has access to returning relocation drivers with a proven track record

- Transfercar’s service can be integrated directly with your fleet management software

- Transfercar offers the ability to upsell additional rental days, creating an additional revenue stream for your business

Transfercar first introduced the service in New Zealand in 2008. The service was later expanded to include Australia in 2010. Since then over 39,000 travellers have registered as drivers and Transfercar has relocated over 11,000 rental cars and campers for 85 companies.
