Detour Adventures proudly holds Advanced Ecotourism Certification and T-Qual accreditation as a responsible 4 wheel drive tour operator.

Guests enjoy the comfort and space in a new Toyota Land Cruiser with air conditioning to every row of seats. Detour Adventures specialises in small group tours of up to 7 Guests, or if you prefer your own company, you can request a personal private tour. Unlike larger tour operators who need to operate to a strict format for large numbers, Detour Adventures can tailor tours to suit the needs of individuals.

On the full day tours, Guests enjoy a great lunch sitting by a quiet river or high on a mountain top. Guests can even bring their own lunch if preferred. Detour Adventures is a great day out for individuals, couples, and a group of friends or the whole family.

One popular option is our tag-along tours which we limit to 4 vehicles. We find this provides a more personal experience for everyone and is less harmful to the environment.

We also offer relaxing winery tours, fishing tours, gold prospecting and fossicking excursions as well as interesting historical tours of Bathurst.
