Old Beenleigh Town is a two acre site with history every way you turn - ancient furniture and clothing, kitchens and bedrooms and musical items, outdoor tools and motor vehicles including a fire engine, tractors and farm implements plus the architecture of the 1840's through to the 1940's. We have a cafe for refreshment plus postcards and historical books about the area.

For your three dollars entry, you can have a guided tour or simply wander quietly!

School group tour - children will visit different area's of the site to see how things were done by the early settlers. In the schoolhouse they sit in old wooden desks with inkwells, looking at timber walls with holes and floors with big gaps, and learn about the disciplines of those days. They learn to wash and wring clothes, they see the old cowsheds, tractors, and farm implements, and they tour the museums and see the clothing, jewellery, and books from a long gone era.

Weddings - our chapel is a lovely place to get married, with the old charm of stained glass and a pulpit and timber pews. Then the photo session among the relics of a bygone era - in buildings that add character to your wedding day memories.

Seniors tours - wander around the site with a Guide who reminds you of your youth using words long forgotten - names of past companies no longer known, items that have been replaced with new contraptions, and enjoy a cup of tea and a scone on the Old Railway Station deck.
