Fouta: Pronounced ‘foo-tah’. Hand-woven from 100% Egyptian cotton. Traditionally used in Moroccan and Tunisian ‘Hammams’ or bathhouses. Nowadays the Fouta has become a stylish accessory to everyday life and is a modern alternative to the traditional ‘toweling’ towel … and so much more versatile. Beautiful styles and rich, vibrant colours of yarn died cotton; with the elegance of hand-knotted fringing. Each Fouta is a generous 2m x 1m. Not just a fabulous, highly absorbent cotton towel for the beach or pool! The Fouta is also used as a picnic blanket, a wrap, or a tablecloth and is amazing for traveling since it packs small, taking up about one fifth the space of a typical beach towel. Plus it doesn’t collect sand at the beach and it dries in half the time! So whether relaxing on the beach in St Tropez, or picnicking with family and friends, you will always have a beautiful hand-woven Fouta on hand for any occasion.
