Welcome to Northside Bowen Therapy. Bowen Therapy is a gentle and relaxing Remedial Therapy which often provides effective lasting relief from both chronic and more recent health conditions. Stimulating lymphatic drainage, Bowen activates the fascia through small cross-fibre movements at specific muscular points on the body. There is no manipulation, adjustment or force used, just gentle moves over the fascia of muscles, tendons and ligaments. Long standing problems which have not responded to other bodywork therapies like Massage Therapy, Physiotherapy and Chiropractic, often respond well to Bowen Therapy. Substantial relief is frequently attained after the first session, and in most cases, two or three treatments one week apart provides the best outcome. Treatments are best performed through light clothing as no oils are used.
