Cars either used for urban use or off-road break down eventually and the services of motor mechanics are needed all the time.

Another type of automotive repair shop is the service departments of car dealerships which are the only ones authorized to perform warranty and recall repairs by the manufacturers and distributors. Automotive repair shops are run by motor mechanics.
The main role of the motor mechanic is to diagnose the problem of the vehicle accurately and quickly and provide the necessary services to fix it. They often quote the price of the repair to the customer before starting to work on the vehicle or after partial disassembly for inspection. Motor mechanics often use electrical equipment to determine the problem but they also use their senses. They may repair a specific part of the car or replace one or more assembly parts. Most motor mechanics are provided with sophisticated diagnostic computers for fixing the more sophisticated systems of today?s vehicles. They may also be qualified to repair the electrical systems of the vehicle.
Automotive repair may also include certain modifications on the vehicle to improve its performance on both on the road and off road. These are usually requested by automobile enthusiasts. The rates of vehicle modification may vary depending on the kind of work to be done and the parts needed for the vehicle.
Vehicle repair and modifications vary and may include vehicle lifts to increase the amount of clearance between the ground and the bottom of the frame of the vehicle, body lifts, suspension lifts for better handling capabilities, axle lifts by fitting larger tires or mounting portal axles, and many more. These accessories are available from stores that specialize in automobiles and also from the retailer of the vehicles, which can be requested upon purchase.
