At Battery World Mt Barker, we offer a free household battery recycling service. Our 'Think Green Act Purple' battery recycling programs support and promote recycling of batteries in the Adelaide Hills area. Battery World Mt Barker have purple battery recycling bins in 15 local Adelaide Hills' primary schools, community buildings and health centres. We take BW, our larger than life recycling hero, to primary schools to promote good recycling habits that kids can take into adulthood. We also take BW to country shows throughout Adelaide Hills from Mt Pleasant to Mt Barker, and in 2011, from Strathalbyn to Karoonda.

Other local Adelaide Hills communities we are involved with are caravanning and motorhome associations as well as 4WD and car clubs. We work closely with Summit Trax 4wd club and support their publications and events in Adelaide Hills. We supply batteries for vintage and show cars and provide advice and products for battery maintenance, even for 6 V batteries.

As members of the Mt Barker Business Group Inc, we link closely with other businesses in the Adelaide Hills.
