Automotive repair shops come with a variety of services and specialties for every car. Some automotive parts stores maintain service operations. Some are regional or national chains and franchises. Another type of automotive repair shop is the service departments of car dealerships which are the only ones authorized to perform warranty and recall repairs by the manufacturers and distributors. Automotive repair shops are run by motor mechanics.

Vehicle modifications and accessories include vehicle lifts, body lifts, paint jobs, suspension lifts for better handling capabilities, axle lifts by fitting larger tires or mounting portal axles, and many more.
