About

Hi my name is Stuart, I'm an experienced live and session musician with over 20s years of experience. I have been teaching for over ten years professionally.

Are you looking to learn to have fun playing bass and locking down the groove? Want to learn some new tricks to spice up your playing? Have you taken lessons before but still feel like you are missing something? Want to brush up on theory? Want to develop your groove concepts to come up with those killer bass lines for your original material and help you add that extra something to your band's songs?

I use what I know to write, record and collaborate both live with the band and in the studio every day and I look forward to passing what I know on to you. I teach all styles including Latin, jazz, funk, reggae, blues, rock and metal. I'll even teach you country if that's your bag. I have a variety of techniques including fingerstyle, slap, double thumb, tapping, sweep arpeggios and slap arpeggios that I can show you too.

Most of all with my teaching method I aim to teach you the practical things you need to know so that playing is fun and rewarding as a player individually and in a band setting.

Contact me to make a time for a one to one lesson in my friendly home studio environment today. Lessons via Skype are also available.
