After completing her general surgical training through Royal North Shore Hospital and Northern Sydney Area health Service she took up a position in the United Kingdom as the Clinical Research Fellow in Breast and Oncoplastic Surgery in Guildford, Surrey, the centre which established the National Breast Screening Programme for the UK. She spent the next two years gaining specialist experience in innovative and established techniques in breast surgery and performing research into sentinel lymph node biopsy. Kylie operates regularly at the Mater Hospital, North Shore Private Hospital and Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital. She also works as a VMO at Northern Breast Screen. Kylie is a Clinical Senior Lecturer with the University of Sydney and is a member of Breast SurgANZ, the Australasian Society of Breast Disease and the ANZ Breast Cancer Trials Group. She regularly participates in breast cancer education for medical professionals, patient groups and the broader community. Her special interests include oncoplastic breast surgery and intraoperative analysis of sentinel lymph nodes. As well as the Poche Centre, Kylie also consults at rooms in Hornsby on a fortnightly basis. Kylie offers care to women with breast cancer.

Associate Professor Peter Vale is an interventional vascular physician who specialises in the treatment of vascular diseases (involving both arteries and veins) and a cardiologist treating a wide range of cardiac disorders. A/Prof Vale's main areas of practice involve the endovascular management (angioplasty and stenting) of peripheral arterial disease, carotid disease and aortic aneurysms, and the diagnosis and management of cardiac disorders. A/Prof Vale graduated from University of New South Wales School of Medicine in 1986, completed residency at St Vincent's Hospital, Sydney and gained his fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in Vascular Medicine, Cardiology and General Medicine. He undertook post-fellowship training in interventional cardiovascular medicine at Tuft's University School of Medicine and St Elizabeth's Medical Centre, Boston, USA, gaining expertise in the endovascular (non-surgical interventional) management of peripheral arterial disease. He has numerous publications in leading peer-reviewed journals and written multiple book chapters. He is an invited speaker on the subject of peripheral arterial disease. He is currently involved in both National and New South Wales-based committees devoted to improving the level of understanding, diagnosis, and treatment of peripheral arterial disease, and is involved in international clinical trials for peripheral arterial disease and venous thromboembolism.
