Declan Murphy leads the robotic surgery program at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre where he performed the first robotic prostatectomy in the public system in Victoria in 2010. He is a full-time cancer specialist with particular interest in prostate cancer including screening, transperineal prostate biopsy, active surveillance and robotic surgery. He has many research interests and is very well published in the world's leading urology journals. He also holds senior editorial roles in many of these journals. His other interests include surgical training and social media.
