I had this business to do tree removals, some branch tree clearing, and chipping. I would say that t...hey did decent a job but they left some not very pleasant issues behind. The agreement was to: bring down two trees, chip and take away one (Pine), chip and leave some of the other (Sirris - excellent for mulch and timber). All chipped wood - Sirris - was taken awa, some fire wood left. A chicken coop roof was badly smashed. Garden shed's gutter smashed and now leaky. A feature footpath left smashed in 3 places (by dropping heavy branches instead of using rope to slide them down - rope used later after the damage) - possibly garden drain underground smashed. Starr picket fence damaged. A precious Bottle Tree branches broken. The owner insisted on coming and doing all the repairs by himself. Because I got frightened by his extra work offer I asked for a discount but he would not reduce the fee by more than $200.00 which will not cover the repairs approximately $500.00. At the time, we shook hands AGAIN that he will arrange - as per contract - to deliver some hardwood chips approximately 4m3. Two week later no sign of delivery and no phone call. The boss, a very talkative bloke, is willing to "promise a lot to get the job contract" (to roughly quote words of one of the workers) - that seems right. He came and took the final payment and forgot all his promises. Very sad because over all would do a good job if the workers (gang of four) told me they did not have to rush to be o time for another job the same day. I am sure if they were not rushing to another job the work would be to my full satisfaction. Oh well. Over all there was a little of chaos and confusion and the final if disappointing and left us in a distaste.
