LBC customer service is OK at their Glendenning warehouse, but air freight charges can be costly at ...6 to 10 kilos costing $95 and 11 to 15 kilos costing $125, but then 16 to 20 kilos is $135 - just $10 more for the additional 5 kilos. Don't know how they work that out but it would be fairer to charge per kilo. I normally send about 20 kilos, so it's $135, but last time I sent 20 kilos by sea freight and it cost me $120. I expected sea freight to be much cheaper than air freight since I have sent boxes to northern Mindanao from Sydney that have got there in 3 days (one time it took 3 weeks when a box was placed in the wrong holding area) but sea freight has taken two months. So why isn't sea freight substantially cheaper as one might expect? Also they now require air freight boxes to be open for inspection before shipment. Fair enough I guess, but a large box containing many and varied items can hold you up at their warehouse for a long time when you have to unpack everything then repack it. And they have severe restrictions on what can be sent by air freight, such as no kind of batteries whatsoever, even innocuous alkaline or N-Cad batteries, and no kind of spray cans even if they are pump spray and not aerosol, flammable or not. Also they will charge $50 "tax" to send even a second-hand laptop computer (quite high) and even $15 "tax" for a radio/CD player. Who receives these taxes, or do they just go into somebody's pocket? Most of the time air freight from Sydney to north Mindanao takes about a week and that's probably reasonable, but I still think their freight charges are high and their calculation methods rather unfair when they charge by 5 kilo groups rather than a set amount per kilo.

Have used them for sending something to the UK. Great service price was great as well. Much cheaper ...while compared to others (saved me at least $50). Would use them again next time.
