About

SPACEstudio was established in 2008 by Sarah Aldridge and Jason Trisley.

Sarah spent parts of her childhood in Brazil, Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong and the UK before studying architecture at the Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London. Sarah joined Conran & Partners in 1994 where she became an Associate Director in 1999. She has been a registered architect in the UK since 1995 and was a RIBA Professional Practice examiner. Sarah is a member of the Australian Institute of Architects.

Jason grew up in northern NSW and studied architecture at the University of Newcastle before moving to Sydney to work for Ancher Mortlock Woolley and Mitchell/Giurgola & Thorpe Architects in the lead-up to the 2000 Olympic games. Jason moved to London in 1998, joining Conran & Partners where he later became an Associate. Whilst living in London Jason passed his Professional Practice exams at the Architectural Association. Jason is a registered architect in New South Wales and the UK.

We relocated from London to Byron Bay in 2008 with our two young sons. We are currently designing and building a range of houses and commercial projects. We strive to combine our international experiences and local knowledge to enrich both the designs of the practice and the lives of those touched by them.
