"Mensore Okinawan for Welcome"

To the "Shibu - the Only Official Canberra Branch Dojo" of Okinawan Ryu Karate Do Shuri Te Seibukan, Kokusai Renmei Oceania. Personal Instruction in traditional Karate Do and Kobudo at the invitation of our Dojo Instuctor.

The aim of the association is to teach the traditional art of Karate Do as handed down by our Japanese - Okinawan Budo masters preserving the integrity of the art and it's members.

The Canberra Dojo is under the formal instruction of Istok Tanevski Sensei, an Internationally registered Dan Grade Instructor, being officially appointed as the Canberra Dojo Cho (Branch Instructor) representing;

Garry O'Connor Hanshi Kudan 9th Dan - Principal Senior Instructor and technical examiner - Oceania region.
Our Traditional School Of Okinawan Martial Arts "Welcomes new students" seeking to further refine their character well-being and spirituality through strong authentic Karate Do Training. Our traditional school (Ryu) has a strong teaching curriculum, which stems from a Time Honored Knowledge Base. Throughout the year we have a selective intake of new students on a periodic basis, and training is typically limited to dedicated groups of students. (Denshi)

Our methods of training within our classes are based on proven traditional methods of instruction; developing a high level of martial art skill for members. All students who pass their grading examinations; are fully registered and awarded an international traditional certificate (Menjo) and endorsed from Honbu Dojo.
